Classic (New-Mom) Smoky Eye A smoky eye is guaranteed to make a woman feel sexy, whether she’s wearing sweatpants and a T or an LBD. It’s much easier than you think. We used a plum shade in this illustration, but you can use any color family. 1. Put eye shadow base all over your lids. This will keep your shadow bulletproof and the color fierce all day (or night). 2. Apply a light shimmery shadow
all over lid. 3. With a blending brush, sweep a medium shade of shadow in your chosen color family in a windshield-wiper motion from lash line to crease. 4. Dip a crease brush into a darker shade in the same color family and lay the shadow right into the crease of your eye. Don’t be afraid to build the color. Blend, blend, blend—you don’t want any harsh lines. 5. Use a black pencil to line the upper lashes, getting the color right into the lashes. I like to line the bottom lashes with a color
